McDonald's Japan will renew the popular McCafé® regular items, the Frappe and Smoothie, and launch them nationwide at McDonald's stores from Wednesday, August 5, as "Cookies & Cream Choco Frappe" and "Mango Smoothie."
The Frappe and Smoothie have been popular items since their nationwide rollout in July 2023, and are currently available at over 2,500 of approximately 3,000 stores nationwide. This marks the first-ever renewal since the nationwide launch, evolving the products into even more appealing offerings.
"Mango Smoothie" — from 450 yen
The whipped cream and crunchy cocoa cookie topping of the Choco Frappe remain unchanged, while fresh cream from Hokkaido has been newly added to the drink portion. The product has evolved to let you enjoy even more of the richness of chocolate and its mellow sweetness. A chilled, refreshing sip layered with a rich chocolate aroma, the smooth sweetness of milk, and the slight bitterness of cocoa.
"Mango Smoothie" — from 450 yen
The puree of Alphonso mango — known as the "King of Mangoes" — has been increased in quantity, renewed to allow you to enjoy an even richer aroma and sweetness. The texture has also been upgraded with a smoother, thicker feel, delivering an even more mango-like taste. Savor the distinctive deliciousness of mango, where rich sweetness and a pleasant tartness are in perfect harmony.
The Frappe and Smoothie can be selected as a Value Set® drink for an additional ¥200, making it possible to enjoy the two newly renewed regular items alongside a meal — breakfast, lunch, dinner, or any time.
Also, starting Tuesday, August 4, a new TV commercial — "Won't You Come to McDonald's for Something Sweet? Renewal" (30 seconds) — will begin airing. JISOO and YURI from the dance & vocal group HANA make their first-ever appearance in a McDonald's commercial, delivering a retro and emotional holiday moment with renewed McCafé products in hand.
