"Pokémon 30th Anniversary Burger" Launches July 22
"McDonald's Japan" will launch the "Pokémon 30th Anniversary Burger," commemorating McDonald's 55th anniversary and Pokémon's 30th anniversary, for a limited period from Wednesday, July 22, 2026, as the third installment of the special summer 2026 project "Pokémon Summer Mac."
A total of 8 items: new products "Tartar Demi Thick Beef," "Juicy Chicken Spicy Garlic," and "Roasted Sesame Tartar Shrimp," plus the Night Mac-exclusive "Tartar Demi Double Thick Beef," the Morning Mac-exclusive "Tartar Demi Sausage Muffin" and "Shaka Shaka Potato Nori Salt Flavor," as well as "McFizz / McFloat Okinawa Pineapple"!

Furthermore, the new TV commercial "Pokémon 30th Anniversary Burger" (30 seconds), which begins airing from Tuesday, July 21, 2026, features actor Ryo Yoshizawa, known as a Pokémon fan. The commercial shows Yoshizawa discovering the news about the "Pokémon 30th Anniversary Burger" while riding a bus and exclaiming "Pokémon at McDonald's!?" in surprise, then — holding his purchased items — announcing that a Pokémon festival is beginning at McDonald's.
Furthermore, Japan McDonald's and "Pokémon GO" have entered into a partnership for the first time in approximately 6 years. All McDonald's stores in Japan (approximately 3,000 locations) will appear as in-game "PokéStops" for a limited period, and reply campaigns on X will also be held during each period. Don't miss out!
