Chicken Nanban Fillet Burger (590 yen)
This recurring fan-favorite features a chicken fillet seasoned with the same 11 herbs and spices as KFC's Original Chicken, prepared in the traditional "Chicken Nanban" style. It combines a sweet and sour sauce with a citrus-infused tartar sauce that utilizes sudachi citrus juice and a hidden touch of soy sauce. The pairing delivers a rich yet clean flavor profile.

Citrus Tori Tatsuta Burger (640 yen)
This new addition builds upon the massive success of the original "Kenta's Tori Tatsuta Burger," which famously sold approximately 1 million units within its first week of launch during a previous release. The burger centers on a single whole piece of juicy chicken thigh meat known for its crunchy coating texture. It is paired with a newly developed Japanese dashi lemon sauce made from Setouchi lemon juice and a blended dashi broth of dried sardines, mackerel flakes, and bonito flakes.

Insights from the Product Development Team
According to KFC Japan's product development representative, the team went through over 20 different prototypes during the testing phase to select the ideal citrus varieties. The resulting Japanese dashi lemon sauce was meticulously adjusted to balance the refreshing lemon flavor with the savory umami of the dashi broth, ensuring a perfect harmony when consumed together with the chicken thigh meat, shredded cabbage, and mayonnaise sauce.
